Description
The Early Head Start Teacher provides care, supervision, health and safety, and a responsive early-learning experience for infants and toddlers in an assigned classroom under the Area Supervisor. The role includes maintaining required child-to-staff ratios, documenting child development and attendance data, supporting family engagement, implementing nutrition and feeding plans, completing health checks and incident reports, and participating in professional development. The position requires at least six months of experience, CPR/First Aid certification, and the ability to use required technology; a bachelor’s degree, child development permit, bilingual ability, and knowledge of DRDP, Developmentally Appropriate Practice, and Creative Curriculum are preferred or supported through professional development.
