Description
The Echo/PV Lab Assistant maintains patient flow and department productivity in an echocardiography and vascular ultrasound laboratory by coordinating patient schedules, communicating with inpatient units and ancillary departments, and supporting technicians with room preparation, patient transport, positioning, prior-exam reporting, scheduling, clerical work, and quality-improvement data collection. The role requires a high school diploma or GED, at least six months of healthcare experience, strong communication and organizational skills, and an Act 34-PA criminal record check; imaging-department experience, EMR experience, and medical terminology knowledge are preferred. The position may rotate shifts, require standby or on-call availability, involve local travel between system locations, and include direct patient care and exposure to medical and radiation hazards.
