Description
The Echo Technologist performs ultrasound diagnostic tests for patients under physician orders, including 2-D/Doppler/Colorflow, transesophageal, stress, and contrast echocardiograms. The role also schedules patients, explains procedures, positions patients, selects transducers, maintains equipment, and orders and stocks ultrasound supplies. Applicants need a high school diploma or GED, ultrasound and anatomy knowledge, strong communication and teamwork skills, and ARDMS or CCI registration; Echo registration must be secured within 18 months for those without it.
