Description
RES is hiring an Ecologist, also described as a Scientist III, to lead ecological restoration and monitoring projects across California’s West Coast. The role oversees multiple conservation and mitigation banks, leads and mentors field teams, collects and analyzes ecological data, prepares technical reports, evaluates regulatory requirements, and collaborates with clients, landowners, and project teams. It is based in Sacramento, California, with at least three onsite days per week, regular travel, and occasional overnight stays. The position requires a bachelor’s degree in natural or physical sciences, at least five years of relevant experience or three years with an advanced degree, and experience with field surveys, wetland delineations, scientific analysis software, and equipment.
