Description
The Executive Director of Humanities will lead the Department of Humanities within Chicago Public Schools’ Office of Teaching & Learning, setting strategic direction, supervising direct-report leaders for Literacy and Social Science, coordinating curriculum and professional learning, managing budgets and procurement, overseeing grant administration, and supporting district-wide instructional improvement. The role requires a relevant bachelor’s degree, a valid Illinois teaching certificate, and at least eight years of relevant professional leadership experience, including supervisory, adult-learning, classroom-teaching, and instructional-leadership experience.
