Description
The Unit Care Assistant assists registered nurses and physicians with assessments, examinations, treatments, documentation, specimen collection, patient and family education, and equipment maintenance. The role performs technical and patient-care duties under RN supervision and also handles Unit Secretary responsibilities. A high school education or GED is required, while EMT, CNA, CMA, phlebotomy, and CPR/BLS certifications are preferred or required depending on the listing.
