EDB-IPP Project: Advancing GPU Optimization for Large Language Models at Rakuten

Rakuten Asia, in partnership with the Economic Development Board through the Industrial Postgraduate Programme, is seeking PhD students to conduct collaborative research on efficient large-scale AI infrastructure. The role focuses on optimizing GPU clusters for training and serving large language models, including scheduling, inference, memory management, parallelism, hardware-aware optimization, and high-throughput serving. Candidates need strong deep learning, machine learning, natural language processing, and PyTorch engineering expertise. Selected candidates receive full postgraduate sponsorship and will be hired by Rakuten Asia upon successful completion.
