Description
The Science Editor supports BJU Press’s editorial team by directing developmental, copy, and production editing of K–12 educational materials in a specific academic subject area. The role evaluates manuscripts for accuracy, organization, grade-level appropriateness, and biblical accuracy; corrects grammar, style, and consistency; proofreads PDF page proofs; maintains publishing standards; communicates with project teams; and completes special projects. Candidates need strong English grammar and mechanics, Chicago Manual of Style proficiency, editorial-test performance, and a relevant master’s degree or bachelor’s degree with the specified experience, plus a born-again Christian affiliation and agreement with the Bob Jones University group’s creed and doctrines. After onboarding, the employee may apply for a hybrid work schedule.
