Description
The EDM Machine Operator will set up and operate electrical-discharge machines to shape metal workpieces according to project specifications, tooling instructions, and standard charts. The role includes reading blueprints, positioning and securing workpieces, setting machine parameters, performing maintenance and inspections, troubleshooting equipment, grinding electrodes, completing production paperwork, and maintaining a clean work area. The position requires a high school diploma or equivalent, at least three years of EDM machine setup and operation experience, aerospace industry experience, precision-measurement skills, and the ability to work overtime, including weekends. The schedule is 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., with possible travel between Southwick and Westfield facilities.
