Description
The Education Coordinator provides academic assessment, GED instruction, individualized tutoring, and case management to youth ages 16–24 who have dropped out of school. The role supports preparation for vocational training, college, or other post-secondary opportunities, coordinates with volunteer tutors and outside agencies, tracks academic and program data, and maintains a caseload of 25–30 participants. Preferred qualifications include at least two years of teaching experience, special education or therapeutic-program experience, knowledge of Individualized Education Plans, and experience with Smart Board technology; a valid driver’s license, car insurance, dependable transportation, and a Level 1 Fingerprint Clearance Card are required.
