Description
The role plans, develops, and manages educational and recreational programs for the public across multiple museum sites, including annual events, camps, scout programs, outreach, partnerships, internships, and teacher training. The position reports to the Division Manager, collaborates with Site Managers, Friends Administrators, and Marketing Managers, and requires curriculum development, event planning, budget management, public communication, recordkeeping, and computer-system operation. It requires a college degree in education or a related discipline or equivalent training and experience, at least two years of museum-programming or nonprofit experience, a valid driver’s license, a drug test, and a favorable background investigation. The work involves operating between four remote locations, walking and talking a quarter mile, working outdoors in varied weather, and riding on a boat at times.
