Description
The Pro Kita II program places participants in Bremen day-care centers for a fixed-term full-time or part-time employment as educational assistants. Participants support educational specialists with educational activities, care, meals, outings, play and movement activities, and housekeeping, while completing 900 hours of practical experience required for further training as a state-recognized educator (childcare professional). The program is funded by the Senator for Work, Social Affairs, Youth and Integration and the European Social Fund Plus, and participants are paid according to the applicable collective agreement. Admission requires interest in early childhood education, social competence, teamwork ability, empathy, a specified secondary or higher-education qualification, German language skills at B2, age over 25, proof of measles protection and a clean criminal record, unemployment registration, and no disqualifying vocational qualification or training occupation experience.
