The Educational Specialist (Learning Specialist) supports medical students at the University of Hawaii John A. Burns School of Medicine by developing retention strategies, designing academic skill-building and resiliency sessions, administering and interpreting learning assessments, creating individualized educational and remediation plans, coordinating accommodations, advising students with disabilities, and evaluating educational programs. The role is permanent and full-time, subject to position clearance and funding availability, with an 11-month term and annual renewal depending on performance and funding.
