Description
Astar is hiring an Educational Support Assistant to support adult students in the Nursing Assistant Training Program. The role focuses on strengthening Swedish-language skills in health and social care, including professional terminology, reading and listening comprehension, oral communication, documentation, patient safety, and healthcare procedures. The assistant plans and delivers individual and group language-support activities, monitors student progress, identifies additional support needs, and collaborates with vocational teachers, workplace-based learning supervisors, and other staff. Applicants need at least one year of full-time professional experience in adult or young-adult educational activities within the past six years and at least 60 higher education credits or one year of full-time post-secondary education in education or pedagogy; experience teaching SVE/SVA/SFI or as a Swedish teacher is advantageous.
