Description
The EHS Class Aide provides daily assistance in an Early Head Start classroom, including supporting children with special needs, helping with classroom activities, meals, bathroom use, playground time, and field trips, documenting special-needs paperwork, maintaining a safe environment, and reporting accidents. The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, a Child Development Associate credential or enrollment within six months of hire, knowledge of child development and program curriculum, and completion of required medical, background, and drug screenings. The position reports to a teacher, site supervisor, or education manager and may involve physical work such as lifting 55 pounds, climbing into a school bus, and standing for long periods.
