Description
The EHS Class Aide provides daily assistance in an Early Head Start classroom, including supporting children with special needs, helping with classroom activities, meals, bathroom use, playground time, and field trips, maintaining a safe environment, documenting paperwork, and reporting accidents. The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, a Child Development Associate credential or enrollment within six months of hire, knowledge of child development and program curriculum, and the ability to work with children, parents, and staff. The position reports to a teacher, site supervisor, or education manager and requires physical activity, emergency readiness, and completion of required medical, background, and drug screenings.
