Description
The Environmental, Health, and Safety Manager will report to the General Manager and manage health, safety, and environmental compliance programs for a paper mill. The role includes incident and root-cause investigations, safety training and documentation, regulatory reporting, environmental permits and waste management, safety committee leadership, staff mentoring, and operational safety improvements. The position generally works 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., may vary with mill needs, and includes a weekend rotation schedule. A bachelor’s degree is preferred but not required, and at least three years of environmental or safety experience is preferred; industrial team leadership, technical capacity, communication, and computer skills are also required.
