BGF Industries is hiring an Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) Specialist in Altavista, Virginia to support environmental, health, and safety initiatives across its manufacturing operations. The role includes maintaining training and SDS records, conducting inspections and audits, coordinating safety programs and meetings, supporting accident investigations, managing hazardous waste and wastewater testing, maintaining regulatory certifications, and ensuring compliance with EPA, DEQ, DOT, RCRA, and other requirements. Mandatory qualifications include a four-year degree in science or a related discipline, at least four years of manufacturing experience, industrial truck licensing, shift availability, and 20/40 corrected eyesight; RCRA, DOT, HAZWOPER, and OSHA 30 certifications are preferred.
