Description
The Early Head Start Teacher assists the Lead Teacher with classroom activities, child health and safety, lesson planning, curriculum delivery, home visits, screenings, assessments, documentation, parent communication, and recruitment. The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, an infant/toddler CDA, knowledge of child development and program standards, and completion of medical, TB, background, child abuse/neglect, and drug screenings. The position involves classroom work, travel to transport children, and physical activity including lifting, climbing, bending, kneeling, squatting, standing, and sitting on the floor.
