Description

Evonik is seeking a highly experienced individual to lead their site's Health, Safety, Security, and Emergency Response programs. The successful candidate will serve as the designated Site Security Officer, responsible for promoting a strong EHSS culture, implementing and maintaining EHSS policies, and ensuring compliance with OSHA and corporate requirements. This role involves leading incident investigations, conducting risk assessments, and driving continuous improvement in EHSS performance.

Additional Information

Required Previous Experiences: 5+ years of EHSS, safety, or related experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment
Preferred Qualifications: Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and safety compliance requirements.
Experience with incident investigation, root cause analysis, and problem-solving tools.
Proven ability to develop, implement, and track corrective and preventive actions to closure, ensuring effectiveness and sustainability.
Familiarity with PSM and high-hazard operations preferred.
Experience developing and maintaining safety programs, procedures, and training systems.
Strong communication, coaching, and leadership skills, with the ability to influence all levels of the organization.
Ability to work independently and lead EHSS initiatives in a plant environment.
Proficiency in standard business tools (e.g., Microsoft Office, SAP or similar systems).
