GEM Technologies, Inc. is hiring a full-time Electrical Designer to support the DOE's Y-12 National Security Complex in Oak Ridge, Tennessee. The role involves drafting electrical, lighting, power, instrumentation, controls, conduit, cable, fire alarm, and communication drawings in Bentley MicroStation; preparing data sheets, specifications, and walkdown reports; and supporting construction and operational activities, including occasional field walkdowns in radiologically contaminated areas. The position requires an associate's degree in a technical field with 6+ years of relevant experience or a high school diploma with 13+ years of relevant experience, U.S. citizenship, the ability to obtain and maintain a government clearance, and experience with low- and medium-voltage power distribution, industrial control systems, and NFPA 70, NFPA 79, and UL508A.
