Description

Lam Research is hiring an Electrical Engineer to design and develop complex electrical systems, power distribution components, and electro-mechanical solutions for semiconductor applications. The role includes electronic circuit and board design, system integration, experimental testing, validation, reporting, and mentoring junior colleagues. Candidates need a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or a related field with at least five years of experience, or a master’s degree with at least three years, along with expertise in power distribution, PCB design, controls, CAD simulation, and relevant safety standards. The position offers hybrid On-site Flex or Virtual Flex work arrangements and a California San Francisco Bay Area salary range of $86,000 to $192,000.

Additional Information

Minimum Education: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field, or a master’s degree with equivalent experience.
Required Previous Experiences: At least 5 years of experience with a bachelor’s degree.
At least 3 years of experience with a master’s degree.
Hands-on experience in electronic circuit design, signal and controls theory, electrical board design, troubleshooting, and validation.
Experience applying power and controls technologies for systems automation.
Experience with CAD tools for circuit design and simulation.
Experience in the semiconductor industry or a related industrial, automotive, or military field.
Preferred Qualifications: Ability to define functional requirements and work in a dynamic team environment.
Familiarity with design for serviceability, manufacturability, and reliability.
Proficiency troubleshooting systems with network sniffers, protocol analyzers, and tool logs.
Experience using 5-why, 8D, fishbones, and similar troubleshooting techniques.
Excellent oral and written communication and technical presentation skills.
Fluency in NFPA 70, NFPA 79, UL 508A, and knowledge of semiconductor standards S2 and S22.
