Description

Amazon is hiring an Electrical Engineer to support process development and electrical failure root-cause analysis for a line-replaceable unit on Amazon Leo’s next-generation spacecraft. The role leads production electrical troubleshooting, yield improvement, test and rework procedures, design-for-manufacturability feedback, and manufacturing automation, while collaborating with design, quality, program management, vendors, and manufacturing teams. The position is based in Redmond, Washington, and offers a base salary of $117,300 to $160,000 annually plus sign-on payments and restricted stock units.

Additional Information

Minimum Education: Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or equivalent
Required Previous Experiences: 3+ years of electro-optical hardware development, analog and mixed-signal board-level design, and high-speed circuit design
3+ years of circuit-board design or testing involving complex microcontrollers, system-on-chip, or FPGAs
Preferred Qualifications: Master's or PhD in Electrical Engineering with 5+ years of industry experience
Understanding of quality metrics, process characterization, product quality and reliability improvement, Lean manufacturing, DFM/DFT, and continuous process improvement
Understanding of design for testability and design for manufacturability
Knowledge of hardware and software test-automation tools
Knowledge of digital interface protocols and use cases
Knowledge of ADC/DAC electrical characteristics, architectures, and design tradeoffs
