Applied Materials is hiring a full-time Electrical Engineer for its Industrial I/O and Control Systems role in Santa Clara, California. The position focuses on selecting, integrating, validating, and deploying industrial I/O and control system technologies for semiconductor manufacturing equipment, including distributed I/O architectures, EtherCAT networking, machine safety, and control system standardization. The engineer will collaborate with product engineering, software, firmware, manufacturing, quality, program management, and supplier teams, and will lead technical architecture, validation, troubleshooting, and supplier technology-management activities.
