Description

Honeybee Robotics, part of Blue Origin, is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to join their Exploration Systems division. The successful candidate will lead technical projects focusing on avionics development for planetary exploration and space applications. Responsibilities include designing and testing high-reliability PCBs, defining harness designs, creating electrical ground support equipment (EGSE), executing integrated assembly-level tests, and applying technical expertise to solve problems throughout the product lifecycle. This is an onsite role located in Altadena, CA.

Additional Information

Minimum Education: Bachelor of Science in Electrical or Computer Engineering, or a related field.
Required Previous Experiences: Developing and testing complex hardware equipment over the entire product lifecycle.
Preferred Qualifications: Experience in Guidance Navigation and Control (GNC).
Experience with radiation testing of EEE components.
Graduate degree in a related engineering or technical field.
12+ years of experience in developing hardware across the entire product lifecycle.
Experience developing and testing complex electronic systems combining hardware, firmware, and software.
Experience leading the development and testing of embedded/motorized/power systems.
Experience in Worst-case analysis, circuit Finite Element Analysis, and Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA).
Proficiency with scripting, programming, and modeling tools such as Python, Linux/Windows shell scripting, assembly language, C/C++, and MATLAB/Simulink/SPICE.
Experience using Altium to design complex printed circuit boards.
