Description
The NSLS-II Diagnostics and Instrumentation Group is hiring an Electrical Engineer (P7/P9) to maintain, upgrade, test, and support beam position monitors and other accelerator diagnostics instrumentation. The role involves hardware debugging, firmware and software support, diagnostics development, troubleshooting, maintenance planning, and coordination with technicians, engineers, and scientific staff. It requires a BSEE, at least seven years of electronics-systems experience, FPGA firmware or VHDL/Verilog experience, and knowledge of digital and analog circuits, programming, and test equipment. The position is onsite, requires U.S. work authorization and a DOE UPIV credential, and offers a salary range of $113,050 to $163,617 per year.
