Description
The Operations Electrical Engineer will plan, organize, and direct engineering activities for hydropower facilities across New York State, including capital improvement projects involving electrical power generation and distribution up to 115 kV. The role covers design, specification, cost, construction, commissioning, tendering, regulatory compliance, safety training, troubleshooting, field inspections, utility coordination, permitting, corrective actions, cost control, and maintenance planning. It requires an electrical engineering degree, at least seven years of progressive electrical engineering experience, knowledge of power systems and electrical codes, and the ability to travel within New York State.
