Description

Brooks Automation is hiring an Electrical Engineer to support the design, development, integration, qualification, and lifecycle support of complex electrical systems for semiconductor automation equipment, including robotic handling systems, vacuum platforms, and electrical controllers. The role covers PCB and embedded-control design, hardware bring-up and debugging, industrial communication, troubleshooting, failure analysis, customer escalations, and cross-functional product development. It is based on-site in Chelmsford, Massachusetts, with possible in-office and remote work arrangements, and offers a base salary of $105,593.46 to $142,861.74 USD plus an annual discretionary bonus.

Required Previous Experiences: 5+ years of experience

Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering with 5+ years of experience, or MSEE with 3+ years of experience
Progressive experience developing embedded electrical hardware, automation equipment, robotics, semiconductor capital equipment, or similarly complex electromechanical systems
Experience with schematic-capture and PCB-design tools such as Altium Designer, OrCAD, or Cadence
Hands-on proficiency with oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, protocol analyzers, digital multimeters, power supplies, and electronic loads
Ability to independently own moderately complex designs, troubleshoot cross-disciplinary system issues, and communicate results clearly to technical and nontechnical stakeholders
Experience working within structured product-development, configuration-control, quality, and regulatory-compliance processes
