Description

The Electrical Engineer will determine the engineering adequacy of electrical shipboard systems, evaluate replacements and upgrades, recommend design and operational improvements, supervise contractor work on nuclear-powered ships or submarines, ensure compliance with contractual requirements, resolve design and test issues, analyze contractor designs, and serve as an electrical/electronic division sea-trial observer. The role requires a professional engineering degree or equivalent engineering qualification, at least one year of specialized professional engineering experience, U.S. citizenship, a security clearance, and the ability to travel and perform occasional sea duty.
