Description
The IVVO/FLISR engineer will support Xcel's integrated voltage-var optimization and fault location, isolation, and service restoration programs by configuring automated field devices such as capacitor bank controllers and protection devices, developing settings, modeling distribution systems, integrating devices with advanced distribution management systems, and providing technical support. The role is primarily an individual contributor with standard 40-hour work hours, is expected to convert to full-time, and is based at the Marshall Operations Center in a hybrid arrangement. The posting seeks an electrical or computer engineering background with power systems experience, 2–3 years of experience, and familiarity with distribution modeling tools, while Python and SQL are preferred.
