Description

Impulse Space is seeking an Electrical Engineer for Critical Infrastructure & Facilities to lead the development of advanced aerospace facilities. The role involves overseeing the entire lifecycle of facility projects, collaborating with a dynamic team, and contributing to ambitious goals. Additionally, the engineer will have the opportunity to work at the Mojave test site.

Additional Information

Required Previous Experiences: 4+ years of experience in facilities engineering or related field
Experience designing, creating and managing facilities drawings and layouts
Excellent project management and communication skills
Primary experience with electrical and power distribution systems (<600Vac)
Experience with plumbing design and operation
Knowledge of HVAC operation and design principles of associated equipment
Working knowledge of delta/wye transformers, building lighting, building construction specifications, and facility grounding
Experience with critical power infrastructure including UPS systems, backup generators, automatic transfer switches, and solar power systems.
Preferred Qualifications: 5+ years of demonstrated experience with electrical and power distribution systems (<600Vac)
5+ years of demonstrated experience with plumbing design and operation
Familiarity with cryogenic liquid and high pressure industrial gas facility systems
Familiarity with facility sized deionized water treatment systems
AutoCAD/Revit/Bently or equivalent software – Beginner to intermediate skill level
Proximity to the building is highly desirable
Ability to work extended hours as needed
Familiarity with National Electric Code, ASHRAE, National Fire Protection Association, and International Building Code
Showcase a commitment to environmentally responsible practices in facility design and operation, including energy-efficient solutions and waste reduction strategies
Ability to complete complex projects and make decisions independently
Ability to collaborate with internal and external teams, and manage multiple projects concurrently
Flexible schedule and willingness to travel as needed
