Description

Lockheed Martin is hiring a full-time Electrical Engineer for its Santa Barbara Focal‑Plane Camera Electronics Design team. The role owns end-to-end design of high-performance camera electronics, including PCBs, FPGA and embedded-processor logic, analog and digital circuits, signal and power integrity, built-in test, and hardware verification. The position requires a related bachelor’s or master’s degree or equivalent experience, high-speed serial-link and PCB design experience, and U.S. citizenship with the ability to obtain a secret clearance. The salary range is $95,900 to $178,100, with medical, dental, vision, flexible work arrangements, and other benefits.

Additional Information

Minimum Education: Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline or equivalent experience/combined education with 5 years of professional experience; alternatively, a master’s degree in a related discipline or equivalent experience/combined education with 3 years of professional experience.
Required Previous Experiences: Design of PCBs with high-speed serial links of at least 500Mbps channels
Design of PCBs and/or rigid-flex circuit card assemblies
Preferred Qualifications: High-speed serial link design and FPGA transceiver implementations for 2.5Gbps or higher data rates
Power supply design using linear regulators and switchers for low-noise systems
Analog design of op-amp-based amplifiers for data converters and power-drive circuits
Circuit analysis using PSpice, LTSpice, or equivalent
Signal and power integrity analysis using HyperLynx or equivalent
PCB design and layout using Xpedition or equivalent
FPGA firmware design in Verilog or SystemVerilog using Vivado or Vitis
Embedded C/C++ software programming for FPGA microprocessors
MATLAB and Python programming for electronics systems and image-processing algorithms
