Description

Northwood is seeking an Electrical Engineering Intern for Summer 2027 to support the development of high-speed printed circuit boards for its digital backend. The intern will assist with PCB design, FPGA and microcontroller support, schematic and layout work, board bring-up and validation, component selection, prototype testing, and system performance analysis. The role requires coursework or projects related to PCB design, digital communication systems, or high-speed data transfer, familiarity with PCB design tools, and an interest in low-noise design and EMI/EMC reduction.

Additional Information

Minimum Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field

Preferred Qualifications: Familiarity with PCB design tools such as Altium or Cadence and PCB layout
Interest in low-noise design and EMI/EMC reduction techniques
Soldering and PCB rework skills
Basic programming skills in C, C++, or Python
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Eagerness to work in a fast-paced startup environment
