Voortman Steel Machinery is hiring an Electrical Engineering Intern to conduct a feasibility study on replacing the centralized drives of its FAB iX automatic welding robot with decentralized drives. The intern will evaluate drive series, protection ratings, PLC and fieldbus integration, power requirements, mounting options, safety functions, costs, and applicability, then produce a technical feasibility study and recommendations.
