Description
Valero is hiring an Electrical Engineering Intern to support refinery projects in electrical power, process controls, and instrument engineering. The intern will develop equipment design specifications, perform engineering design reviews, provide startup and commissioning support, improve electrical reliability, implement distributed control systems, optimize refinery operations, specify and commission instruments, design PLC and safety-rated logic systems, and troubleshoot instrument problems. The role is hourly, nonexempt, requires on-site work, and is available at multiple refinery and headquarters locations. Applicants must be pursuing a bachelor's degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, have a 3.2 GPA or higher, graduate between August 2027 and May 2029, and be able to work 40 hours per week. The stated pay range is $34.50 to $41.50 per hour.
