Description
The Douglas County Building Department is hiring a full-time Electrical Inspector to inspect commercial and residential electrical installations, review electrical plans, enforce Oregon and National Electrical Code requirements, issue compliance notices and stop-work orders, investigate hazardous conditions, and represent the County in court when warranted. Applicants must have current journeyman electrical status and meet one of two OAR 918-281-0020 pathways: the Direct EI Examination or the Practicum pathway, which requires a Code Administrator Examination, SEI training, and the EI examination. The role requires a valid Oregon driver's license, regular attendance, driving, and may require a criminal background check and pre-employment drug and medical screening. Onsite childcare is available at the Roseburg Professional Childcare Fowler Street location, subject to a waitlist.
