Description
Santa Margarita Water District is hiring a journey-level Electrical Instrumentation Technician to perform electrical and instrumentation maintenance, installation, troubleshooting, repair, and calibration on motors, motor controls, telemetry and SCADA systems, programmable logic controls, flow meters, pressure devices, and related equipment across water, recycled water, and wastewater facilities. The role requires skilled electrical work from 24 VDC to 4,160 VAC, interpretation of schematics and blueprints, safe work practices, recordkeeping, vehicle and tool maintenance, and emergency response. Applicants need one year of journey-level electrical and electronic equipment experience, a valid California Class C driver’s license, and a Grade I Electrical/Instrumentation Certificate or the ability to obtain one within one year.
