Description
The Distribution Intern will support a distribution engineering team designing overhead and underground electric distribution systems for public and private utility clients. Responsibilities include assisting with line extensions, pole placement, conductor sizing, equipment selection, load-flow and voltage-drop analyses, construction drawings, material lists, cost estimates, pole-loading and structural analyses, guying and mounting details, and field verification. The role requires current enrollment in an ABET-accredited Mechanical or Electrical Engineering program, communication skills, willingness to attend site visits and work outdoors, a valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and Microsoft Office proficiency.
