Description
HDR is hiring an early-career Electrical Power Engineer in its Glasgow office. The role supports the design and engineering of high-voltage substations and power delivery projects from concept through detailed design, including technical documentation, drawings, calculations, multidisciplinary coordination, design reviews, quality checks, and client meetings. Candidates need a bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, an MEng or MSc, at least two years of electrical design experience, and basic knowledge of electrical systems such as one-line diagrams, cable sizing, earthing, and protection schemes. Familiarity with IEC, IEEE, ANSI, AutoCAD, ETAP, or DigSILENT is advantageous, and the role supports progression toward chartered status.
