Description
The Museum of Science is hiring an Electrical Systems Technician II to independently monitor, diagnose, repair, and optimize commercial and institutional electrical infrastructure up to 480V, including switchgear, transformers, generators, UPS systems, motor controls, and life-safety systems. The role performs advanced preventative and corrective maintenance, troubleshoots complex electrical and controls problems, supports emergency responses and planned work, coordinates contractors, and provides technical guidance to less-experienced technicians. Candidates need a Massachusetts Journeyman Electrician License, post-secondary electrician training or equivalent education, and at least five years of progressively responsible electrical experience.
