Description
The Poway Unified School District is hiring a Journeyman Electrician for its Facilities, Maintenance, and Operations department. The role performs journey-level electrical installation, maintenance, repair, troubleshooting, and programming of distribution systems, lighting controls, and related equipment; coordinates other trades; estimates costs; maintains records; and operates construction equipment. The position is scheduled for 8 hours per day, 12 months per year, with an anticipated hiring salary of $32.67 per hour at step 1 and $37.89 per hour at step 4. Candidates must have a valid California driver's license and a General Journeyman Electrician License, with experience equivalent to high school graduation plus an approved apprenticeship or formal training program and five years of electrical installation, maintenance, and repair experience.
