The position installs, maintains, and repairs industrial or institutional wiring systems, circuits, fixtures, and electrical equipment; performs operational tests; and follows safety, regulatory, and compliance requirements. Candidates need a high school diploma or equivalent, trade school training, five years of related electrician experience, and a Journeyman Electrician's License by the end of the first year of employment in Virginia.
