Whitehaven Coal is hiring underground mining electricians for four positions across its Longwall and Development teams in the Narrabri region of Australia. The role involves repairing and maintaining underground mining equipment and systems, conducting inspections and fault finding, recording defects and maintenance data, completing scheduled work in accordance with statutory requirements, and supporting root cause analysis and continuous improvement. Candidates need an Australian-recognised electrical trade qualification, underground coal mining or strong industrial electrical experience, willingness to work rotating shifts, and the ability to meet clean-shaven respiratory safety requirements. Positions are available on a local or drive-in-drive-out basis, with initial camp accommodation and possible relocation assistance.
