Description
The Electrician troubleshoots, repairs, installs, and performs preventive maintenance on electrical systems in facilities, the Central Utilities Plant, and related buildings. Responsibilities include maintaining lighting, switchgear, distribution equipment, emergency power, fire alarms, nurse-call systems, and other large-scale electrical systems; creating electrical drawings and maps; installing wiring and devices; testing emergency generators; and following lockout/tagout and safety procedures. The role requires a current Journeyman Electrician license, knowledge of electrical schematics and national electrical codes, and a current driver’s license.
