Lightmatter is hiring a hands-on Photonics Engineer to lead verification and characterization of high-speed electro-optic links across silicon and system programs. The role involves bench characterization and debugging, channel modeling, link-budget and signal-integrity validation, silicon bring-up support, architecture tradeoff analysis, mentoring, and automation-tool development. Candidates need an MS/PhD in EE, Photonics, or Physics with 8+ years of experience or a BS/MS with 10+ years, along with expertise in high-speed serial links, SerDes, signal integrity, and measurement tools. The position offers a base salary of $155,000–$190,000 USD, equity, and a flexible hybrid workplace model.
