York Space Systems is hiring an Electro-Optical Engineer to support the full systems-engineering lifecycle of optical communications systems, from proposal through on-orbit commissioning. The role focuses on systems integration and vendor oversight rather than design, including trade studies, link budgets, specifications, test execution, troubleshooting, cross-vendor interoperability, and operational procedures. Candidates need a relevant bachelor’s degree, Python and Git skills, attention to detail, and a DoD security clearance or willingness to obtain one; spacecraft-environment, optical-communications, environmental-testing, electronics, and active clearance experience are preferred.
