Lockheed Martin is hiring an Electro‑Optical Engineer in Santa Barbara to lead a technical team developing infrared sensors and EO/IR focal‑plane and camera systems. The role combines customer liaison work, system analysis and modeling, project engineering, technical leadership across mechanical, electrical, and optical design, debugging, risk assessment, and mentoring. Candidates need a bachelor’s degree in engineering, mathematics, or science, systems-engineering and infrared-sensor experience, strong customer coordination and trade-study experience, and the ability to obtain a secret clearance as a U.S. citizen.
