Description
The Electro Technician Officer (ETO) manages, maintains, troubleshoots, and repairs shipboard electrical, electronic, and power management systems; supervises engineering crew, vendors, and subcontractors; supports safety, environmental protection, operational readiness, crew competency, training, and cost control; and represents company interests to the crew, clients, subcontractors, and authorities. The role requires valid maritime credentials, an electrical or electronic technician training certificate, English proficiency, and at least six months of experience on vessels of similar size and route or in a similar industrial environment. The position involves physically demanding work in confined, noisy, and potentially dark or pressurized spaces, and may require occasional helicopter crew changes and a valid OPITO BOSIET credential.
