CERN is hiring an Electromechanical Technical Engineer to develop and implement electromechanical systems for the manufacture and assembly of high-temperature superconducting magnets. The role covers coil winding and assembly, instrumentation and tooling, maintenance, technical documentation, component logistics, and acceptance testing. It requires a bachelor's degree or equivalent relevant experience in electromechanical engineering or a related field, hands-on electromechanical equipment experience, and knowledge of electrical machine technology. The position is fully onsite, offers a five-year limited-duration contract, and includes health insurance, paid leave, and other benefits.
