Description
O-I is hiring an Electronic Technician for its Auburn facility in the Finger Lakes region of New York. The role maintains and repairs glassware inspection systems and manufacturing systems involving robotics, vision systems, PLCs, servo controls, instrumentation, and machine controls. The technician will troubleshoot electrical and electronic equipment, repair components, monitor machine performance, and make adjustments. The position requires strong mechanical and electrical aptitude, experience with wiring diagrams and industrial controls, and knowledge of 480-volt motors, controls, and variable-frequency drives; a two-year electrical technology degree or three years of industrial electrician experience is required, while PLC, servo, and vision-system experience is preferred. The hourly wage is $37.29, with medical, dental, prescription, and vision coverage among the benefits.
